DOG TOY REVIEW

 DOG TOY REVIEW

Greetings and welcome back to another episode of Tough Toy Tryouts. If this is your first time here, consider hitting that subscribe button and the bell so you never miss an episode. This week, we’re taking a look at one of Story’s favorite toys—a ball! This is the Crackle Heads ball made by JW which is quickly becoming one of our favorite brands for outside-the-box toy ideas and this one is no different!

On the outside is a durable and quite thick rubber that’s certified non-toxic meaning it’s been tested and confirmed to not include lead, arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium, mercury, or selenium. On the inside is the same plastic most water bottles are made of for that dog-satisfying crackle sound of which you’re probably all too familiar. Alright, enough. Enough! –Sigh- So, now that you know which toy we’re testing this week, let’s roll this baby on over to Story to see how it holds up after a week’s heavy abuse. And here it is! But before we get into the review,

I just wanted to let you know that Hurricane Irma is looking like a direct hit for us so if there’s no content next week, it may be because we lost power or internet. To keep up to date with us, feel free to checkout our social media sites which are listed in the description below. Any who, on with the review! Starting off with the toys strengths, the Crackle Heads ball is super tough. Story has been straight up chewing this thing for hours now and there’s hardly a dent in the rubber. For some reason, when we toss the ball, it tends to want to bounce toward the left but it’s not really a bad thing. The awkward bounce keeps Story on her toes and entertained.

Not much else to say. It turned out exactly how advertised. Good job! Now on to the weaknesses of the toy and oh my god this thing is loud! It’s kind of hard to describe but let’s just say it sounded like someone beating the crap out of a kickball with a cricket bat. Even after I punctured the thing with an X-ACTO knife, it still was super loud until the plastic finally collapsed on itself at which point it was just a crunchy sound as Story chewed it. But other than that, there wasn’t much else wrong with the toy. And now it’s time for the final verdict! The JW Crackle Heads ball receives a 2 out of 5 bones.

Although it’s a solid toy that lived up to the adverts, it’s simply too loud to enjoy. Had they made the inner plastic bit a little smaller so that it wasn’t squeezed against the rubber outside, it likely wouldn’t be as loud. It also could do with a vanilla scent or a little something extra to make it stand out from the plethora of other JW products out there.

And that’s where we end this week’s episode. I’ve gotta head out and finish hurricane prep but if you liked this episode, give us a thumbs up and be sure to check out our KindaPets page at https://kindapets.yolasite.com/ tough toy tryouts and learn how you can help us improve the content here on the channel!
